Audience: All coaches at Gym 123.
Business Problem: There is a demand for Crossfit classes, however enrollment has been decreasing due to the lack of knowledge by the coaches. Members have complained that the Crossfit workouts are too difficult, and that the coaches do not know how to modify the workouts.
Solution: This training teaches coaches how to explain workouts with appropriate detail, and modify workouts to meet the fitness level of all members. After the completion of this training, Crossfit class sign-ups will increase by 50% due to the coaches' ability to lead and modify Crossfit classes.
Process: This e-learning course was developed for Gym 123 with both instructional and organizational goals in mind. This process began by analyzing the audience, performance gap, and business goals. Based on this analysis, a Design Document was created to define learning objectives, course structure, and assessment strategies. The course was built using Articulate Rise and includes interactive elements, real-life scenarios, and knowledge checks to reinforce learning and promote engagement. Using the Kirkpatrick Model, learner understanding is formally evaluated through an end-of-course quiz and informally assessed through knowledge checks embedded throughout the course. Post-training observations and follow-up evaluations will assess how well coaches apply the skills on the job and determine whether Crossfit class sign-ups increase by 50%.

Process: This e-learning course was developed for Maple Real Estate with a focus on the needs of the learner. Development began with a review of the target audience, identified performance challenges, and organizational goals to ensure that the training is relevant. Insights from this analysis informed the creation of a Design Document, which established learning goals, course organization, and evaluation methods. A Storyboard was also developed to outline content sequencing, narration, and interactive components. Evaluation is guided by the Kirkpatrick Model, with learning assessed through an end-of-course quiz and reinforced through knowledge checks throughout the course.
